A Registered Nurse who answers to the Unit Director with administrative tasks and acts as a clinical resource for assigned unit. Shall directly supervise personnel and assure the quality of clinical nursing care of patients in the Med/Surg unit at all times. The hours of work are flexible based upon the need of the hospital.
Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of California.
Have at least three years of clinical experience in which one year shall have been in a facility with management in a Med/Surg unit.
Two to five years of clinical experience including experience in patient care management.
The clinical manager shall have 24-hour responsibility for:
Manages supervision of all clinical personnel who provide patient care; and The day-to-day coordination of and quality of clinical nursing care of patients in the Med/Surg units.
Have current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Skills and knowledge to sustain and evaluate clinical competence in caring for the specific age and type of patient population served.
Basic understanding of management and leadership principles.
Possess good oral and written communication.
