Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs diagnostic ultrasound/vascular procedures.
This position requires providing care/service to a critically through rehabilitating newborn through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of San Gabriel Valley Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. Specific Job Duties:
· Patient safety measures. | |
· Teaches student Sonographers in an appropriate manner. | |
· OB/GYN ultrasound procedures. | |
· Abdominal ultrasound procedures. | |
· Vascular ultrasound procedures. | |
· Infant head scans. | |
· Obtains necessary training prior to initial equipment use. |

· Assures equipment is in operating order prior to use. · Setting up the necessary items for BX, Thoracentesis and Paracentesis |

· Uses the following equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s operating instructions. Including, but not limited to: |

· Ultrasound machines |
|
· Processors |
|
· Laser Camera |
|
· Setting up the necessary items for BX, Thoracentesis and Paracentesis. |
High school graduate or equivalent
Completion of an approved Ultrasound Training Program
At least one year clinical experience/training required
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Current RDMS or obtained RDMS within one year after eligible for RDMS
