The position of Education Coordinator reports to the Chief Nursing Officer. The mission of education and training is to promote excellence through the continuing education and support of patient care and ancillary staff. Performs the essential functions of mission integration, team work, time management, communication, interpersonal relationships, organizational contribution, professional manner and appearance, professional practice and generic education planning and implementation in collaboration with the leadership team.



Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:

  1. Work with the leadership team in identifying educational opportunities for the
  2. Collaborate with the Employment Training Panel Consultant and ETP State Representative regarding the accuracy and completeness of ETP hours submitted for ETP
  3. Track and trend employees eligible for ETP
  4. Set quarterly goals in achieving ETP
  5. Participates in providing applicable in-service during the NEO as assigned by the Director of
  6. Promotes staff development by providing in-services appropriate to meeting and exceeding the needs of the patients and the
  7. Participate in developing, implementing and evaluating the annual skills validation
  8. Stay on top of department specific and house wide PI activities by actively participating in monthly CQI meetings.
  9. Observe, consult and assist designated trainers in planning and implementing individual education programs when
  10. Carry out clerical such as preparing educational status update reports for the leadership
  11. Participate in the planning and implementation of MOCK surveys throughout the
  12. Assist in the actual, unannounced DHS, the JC and other regulatory
  13. Perform other duties as
