Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is recruiting for a full time, day shift HVAC Mechanic for our Plant-Ops Engineering Department. Monterey Park Hospital is a 101 bed acute care community hospital and has provided our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 50 years. The position reports to the Director, Plant Ops/Engineering .

The HVAC Mechanic is responsible for the daily maintenance program and will maintain the HVAC and refrigeration systems, steam boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air conditioning systems, ice machines and refrigerators, medical vacuum systems, emergency generator, and is responsible for water treatment. The HVAC Tech has working knowledge of pneumatic and electronic controls. The position is assigned jobs as needed and will be responsible for other duties or special projects as assigned by the Director.

Education:

Associate Degree in A/C Refrigeration or Equivalent Experience in the field.

EPA608 Certificate - Universal Technician required.

Work Experience:

3 years working in the trade or 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
