Overview

JOB SUMMARY:

The Stationary Engineer is responsible for providing a full range of maintenance and repair and administrative support to Seton Medical Center. Provides excellent customer service. 

Responsibilities

POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES (other duties may be assigned)

1

Maintain and perform repairs to buildings, grounds and equipment.

Maintain continuous operation of equipment by trouble shooting and repairing.

3

Conduct utilities and equipment tests.

4

Record pertinent data on all equipment in accordance with federal, state, and local codes.

5

Process administrative paperwork in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

6

Required to stay abreast of the latest technology as related to hospital building systems and equipment and emergency response regarding hazardous materials.

7

Requires successful completion of medical evaluation fit test under respiratory protection program criteria.

Functions as a team member.

9

Demonstrates commitment to the quality of service.

10

Complies with department, medical center and regional policies and procedures.

11

Maintain regular attendance in the work place.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:                                       

  • Engaged in learning the stationary engineering trade.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Hospital Experience preferred

 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:

  • Valid California Driver's License

 

OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Has entered a written apprentice agreement under the provisions of the Apprenticeship Standards of the Northern California and Northern Nevada Stationary Engineers Joint Apprenticeship and Advisory Committee.
