Under the direction of the department manager or designee, performs interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to ensure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients. Participates in technical duties directly involved with the CT Scanner including developing, initiating, training and monitoring procedures for the effective utilization of this unit as well as other portable and stationary X-ray units within the radiology department.
This individual will perform in the capacity of CT/Radiology Technologist in the Radiology Department, operating specialized equipment; as well as routine diagnostic procedures providing quality radiographoc images.
Minimum one year of radiologic expereince and special procedures experienced preferred. One year minimum experience in performing CT or previous acute hospital experience preferred. Experience with care for all age groups as neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatrics. Able to perform a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and Diagnostic exams.
A.A. Degree in Radiology Technology or equivalent approved A.M.A program. CRT License and Fluoroscopy Permit. Valid California State Certification license in unlimited diagnostic radiology services. ARRT License required. Current BLS required. CT Certification Preferred.
