JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provides direct care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab Department setting.
- Provide care for patient pre and post cardiac and IR procedures.
- Communicate with physicians/Nurse Directors / coworkers as appropriate about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology and be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment; will rotate on variable shift as required for coverage.
- Ensures the unit is adequately prepared for the procedure.
- Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies.
- Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities, and the training of new staff. Assist in all aspects of invasive and cardiac procedures ie TEE, Cardioversion procedure.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Must have a current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California.
- BCLS, ACLS, upon hire and maintain current.
- Previous Critical Care experience. Cath lab preferred. If not must complete Critical Care Course Certification within one year
