Job Summary: AHMC Healthcare, a six hospital healthcare system is seeking a Director, HR Business Partner/Consultant for our Corporate office of Human Resources located in Alhambra, California. Under the direction of the Vice President of Human Resources, the Director, HR Business Partner/Consultant will be responsible for performing advanced specialized and administrative duties in designated human resources program or section areas. Will be responsible for providing technical support in administration of various programs as designated by the Vice President of Human Resources and the needs of the facilities. Essential Job Functions: Interacts with all levels of employees at the six facilities. Provides feedback to the VP of Human Resources regarding formulation and administration of plans and policies for various human resources activities. Acts as an internal consultant by analyzing and making recommendations related to human resources issues, assigned program or selection area, and policies and procedures. Develops and updates human resources policies and procedures as needed. Audits assigned program or selection areas for compliance with legal requirements and established polices and procedures. Prepares and maintains special internal and external reports as requested. Assists with developing, coordinating, and making recommendation for the improvement of HR workflow processing at the facilities. Stays abreast of changes in employment and implementation of best practices at all facilities. Develops methods and procedures fro compiling and analyzing data for reports. Works on special projects as requested. Develops management training programs and conducts training sessions and maintains attendance logs. Develops metrics to ensure best practices are implemented and executed. Assist Vice President of Human Resources with contract negotiations as needed. Performs additional duties as assigned. Experience/Training: A minimum of Five (5) years professional experience in a Corporate Human Resources and/or Director level position in a healthcare environment. Must possess working knowledge of California federal, state, local labor laws, local healthcare (TJC) regulations and DHS. Strong leadership ability to champion important issues as well as work collaboratively with HR staff. Ability to understand and implement business strategies and to deliver supporting HR programs and practices. Must possess excellent Microsoft office skills and familiar with HR management systems such as ADP and/or Ultipro is helpful. Education/Certification/License: Bachelor's degree in Business of Human Resources Management preferred. PHR or SPHR certification helpful.
