Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles, is a 101 bed acute care community hospital. Monterey Park Hospital has provided our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 40 years. Monterey Park Hospital is recruiting for a Lab Assistant for our Laboratory Department. This position is per diem with variable shifs. This position reports to the Clinical Lab Director.
The Laboratory Assistant responsibilities include and are not limited to collecting blood samples from all age groups including neonate, perform front and back office procedures, computer data entry, performing basic lab test processing, set-up Microbiology cultures and send out to reference lab. The Laboratory Assistant must be able to organize workload to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment and prioritize duties for routine and stat testing. The Laboratory Assistant must be able to maintain customer service standards, work independently, and work a flexible schedule which would include working graveyards and variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Current CA CPT certification and current BLS.
