The Corporate Human Resources Generalist I is responsible for attracting qualified candidates, reviewing resumes; interviewing and selecting the candidates who best meet the requirements of the position and will be the best fit for each facility. The incumbent will work with the facility recruiters and hiring managers with reviewing resumes and assists with interviewing, as necessary. The incumbent is responsible for the corporate on-boarding process and provides strategies to improve the recruitment process.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
A. Assists in developing, coordinating, and implementation of recruiting initiatives in a cost-effective, efficient, and timely manner.
B. Provides support to facilities in finding qualified candidates for vacant job positions.
C. Reviews large number of resumes or employment application.
D. Assist in arranging face-to-face interview with higher management.
E. Assist the managers in recognizing the key skills and competencies of the candidate to make the final selection of the candidate.
F. Check the background of candidates followed by employment reference checking.
G. Work according to the rules, regulations and recruitment strategies of the organization.
H. Suggest new approaches towards developing better recruitment policies.
I. Manages the on-boarding and off-boarding process to ensure efficiency of the process.
J. Conducts new-employee orientation, enters new hires into the payroll system and administers pre-employment tests.
K. Maintains personnel file, generates and tracks documentation relating to job descriptions, performance evaluations, and monthly/quarterly/annual activity reports.
L. Responsible for the tuition reimbursement program.
M. The incumbent will develop reports in order to monitor programs/projects and set benchmarks and provide report to senior management in order to aid in the decision making process.
N. Conduct research and analyze data in support of development and evaluation of recruitment plans, and the evaluation of market conditions and applicant pools.
O. Participates in job fairs, college job fairs and related events.
P. Works with educational institution to implement special programs to enhance recruitment.
Q. Coordinate employee events; employee recognition and service awards, holiday event, hospital week, etc.
R. Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
S. Utilize critical thinking and solid judgment to solve problems.
T. Assists other member of the Corporate HR Department as requested or assigned.
U. Abides by the AHMC Code of Conduct and HIPAA compliance.
V. Performs additional duties as assigned.
A minimum of 4 years in a recruiting/human resources related position.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Knowledge of foreign recruiting.
Knowledge of federal, state, local labor laws wage and hour laws, and ERISA regulations.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and lead projects within defined timelines
Knowledge of federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
Ability to create and comprehend reports and spreadsheets
Must be able to work independently
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Strong analytical, problem solving and research skills
Ability to work and communicate with both internal and external employees and vendors
Ability to prioritize and multi task while meeting established deadlines
Adapts to meet changing business needs
Must possess computer skills; Excel; power point, word, Microsoft outlook.
Experience with Applicant tracking system and HRIS.
High School diploma and/or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related experience preferred
CEBS, PHR, SPHR, OR CBP certification a plus
