Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is a 101 bed acute care community hospital. We are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse for our Recovery Room. This RN position is a full time, 8 hour, day shift position. This RN position reports to the Director of Surgical Services. Monterey Park Hospital has provided our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 40 years.

The RN is responsible for the provision of safe and effective care of the pre-operative patient.  The RN applies knowledge of the principles of growth and development over a lifespan to identify patient and family requirements relative to age-specific needs. Provides comprehensive and collaborative nursing care for identified post-operative patients utilizing a multidisciplinary approach. Demonstrates sound critical thinking skills, effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced setting that relied on a team approach. Nursing care in the PACU emphasizes the critical evaluation of the post-operative patients with the anticipation and prevention of complications resulting from anesthesia or the operative procedure.

Minimum one year acute care hospital experience in PACU or Critical Care area preferred. CA RN license and BLS required. ACLS and PALS required within 2 months upon employment. Proficiency in both written and oral English.
