Overview

Responsible for providing independent care in a variety of clinical settings to specified population of neurological patients. The stroke program coordinator coordinates the acute management of the stroke patient; clinical practice through direct staff and patient education; multidisciplinary collaboration. This position requires experience in acute/neurosurgical/or critical care nursing; collaboration with nursing management; demonstrated interest in working with the neurological patient population. The stroke program coordinator functions as an expert clinician, consultant, educator and leader in program specific patient care management ensuring measured outcome.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  1. Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing certificate. Licensure in the state of California as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  2. Registered Nurse/ Nurse Practitioner in California
  3. Current BCLS Card (AHA) and maintain.
  4. The successful candidate will be required to pass competencies for this position. Minimal Two years’ experience in direct patient care in Neuro or Neurosurgery area; One year experience in management.
