Overview

POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Coordinator coordinates and monitors the requirement, framework conditions, budget and progress of short-term IT projects involving a limited number of personnel. They ensure development of products and services to customer requirements within the specified resources. IT Project Coordinators define goals and outline approach and make adjustments within the constraints set to achieve the optimum results. IT Project Coordinators work with specialists in the field of development, users and customers, produce goal and target specifications, solve any conflicts that arise and minimize potential risks. They direct technical and personnel resources to ensure project results conform to quality, time and budgetary stipulations. They ensure working conditions that permit project personnel to implement projects in the most cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
A. Coordinators and monitors the requirement, framework conditions, budget, and progress of short-term IT projects involving limited personnel
B. Develops project plans, goals, and budgets; identifies resources needed, develops schedules and methods for measuring results
C. Organizes and manages all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion
D. Assembles and coordinates project team members; assigns individual responsibilities
E. Communicates effectively with project sponsors, senior management, functional managers, and/or consultants regarding status of assigned projects
F. Development of products and services to customer requirements with the specified resources
G. Write periodic progress, project status reports
H. Monitors time and cost to ensure projects and budgets meet established targets; coordinates technical and personnel resources to ensure project results conform to quality, time, and budgetary stipulations
I. Ensures working conditions that permit project personnel to implement the development work in the most cost-effective manner
J. Reconciles conflicts within and between staff regarding resources, deadlines, and standards
K. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
L. Participates in hospital committees and workgroups as assigned
M. Abide by AHMC Code of Conduct and HIPAA compliance
N. Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
• Familiarity with PCs and related software
• Familiarity with server operating systems and general administration skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with associates and superiors
• Ability to organize multiple job tasks and work independently
• Strong communication, organization, and project management skills are necessary for this position
• Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel
• Skills in planning and preparing written communication
• Demonstrates flexibility in rapidly changing environments
• Able to work under stressful situations
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong problem solving skills with well organized and structured work habits

 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE
• High School Diploma
• College graduate with emphasis in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, and/or Business desirable
• Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Proficiency in Spanish and/or Mandarin/traditional Chinese a plus
