Evaluates and treats patients with wounds in an inpatient and outpatient setting; completes all required documentation in a timely manner; participates in staff education, both formal and informal; organizes quarterly Prevalence and Incidence studies and collects and presents data for Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance; participates in ongoing program development; markets the program to the medical and general community.
The incumbent will assist the physician with the coordination of the unit functions, special procedures, and moderate sedation, care planning, implementation and evaluation of care provided.
Minimum of five years of experience in acute care with demonstrated clinical expertise in Wound Care preferred.
Required Certification/Registration: Current CA Registered Nurse license required; prefer certification in Wound Care from an acknowledged credentialing agency. Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
