The coding supervisor supervises the daily activities of AHMC- Anaheim Regional Medical Center coding and abstracting functions, OSHPD and related reporting and other coding needs to support revenue cycle.
Knowledge of Federal, State and other coding and compliance regulations.
Strong problem solving and team building skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Completion of coursework in Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology.
Minimum of five years coding experience and minimum of two years supervisory experience in an acute care hospital coding all patient and payor types with emphasis on inpatients and Medicare.
Demonstrated experience in accurately assigning ICD-10, DRG, CPT and HCPCS coding conventions and reimbursement rules.
Bachelor degree in Health Information Administration, highly desirable.
Knowledge of 3M encoder, preferable
Proficiency with computers and keyboarding skills
Current CCS, RHIT required.
