Able to work in all basic functions of a CLS in the main lab, blood bank and microbiology. Performs quality control procedures for routine and stat testing of patient samples. Maintains records; performs and records instrument maintenance; troubleshooting instrument and sample problems; regularly utilizes the lab computer for various aspects of daily work; verifies completion of work using the computer. Able to work independently in a generalist capacity while adhering to standard lab practices.

1. Minimum Education: COLLEGE GRADUATE WITH MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY INTERNSHIP OR CALIFORNIA APPROVED ALTERNATIVE LICENSING PATHWAY
2. Minimum Experience: 2 YEARS ACUTE HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED, ASCP CERTIFICATION PREFERRED
3. Required Certification/Registration: CA LICENSED CLINICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST OR CLINICAL LABORATORY SPECIALIST PREFERRED.
