| Regularly performs laboratory procedures in the assigned scientific sections of the Clinical Lab and/or Emergency Department. Performs necessary quality control procedures and maintains records. Troubleshoots instrument problems. Performs and records instrumentation. Performs other clinical and clerical duties as needed. Regularly utilizes the laboratory computer for various aspects of daily work. Verifies completion of work by various computer programs. Communicates with nursing and other hospital personnel, regarding laboratory procedures, results and overdue tests. Runs and completes all testing that is permitted under the licensure by the State of CA. |
CA licensed Medical Laboratory Technician and AA degree required. Medical Laboratory Technician Internship preferred.
