The Activities Assistant is responsible for assisting the Activities Coordinator in providing social, physical, cognitive programs for all residents through the use of recreational services
1 | Implement individualized activity plans compatible with each resident’s medical, psychological, emotional, social needs and capabilities, as directed and supervised by the Activity Coordinator. |
2 | Transport residents to and from designated areas for activity programs. |
3 | Work assigned on weekends and/or evenings, as well as day shifts. |
4 | Document attendance when leading or assisting in activity programs. |
5 | One-to-one interactions with residents, including residents with low activity levels to provide sensory and mental stimulation. |
6 | Prepare scheduled activities; gather supplies and materials. |
7 | Monitor activity area prior to each group activity for cleanliness and appropriate set-up. |
8 | Be available for special assignments/projects as designated by the Activity Coordinator. |
9 | Continue to further knowledge helpful to position by taking advantage of additional education, special classes, in-service training and pertinent reading material. |
10 | Assists in the development and implementation of the departmental yearly Vincentian Values Program. |
