Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is a 101 bed acute care community hospital. Monterey Park Hospital has provided our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 50 years. Monterey Park Hospital is recruiting for a ER Tech for our Emergency Department. This is a per diem, 12 hour, variable shift position. This position reports to the Director of ICU/ER.

The ER Technician takes assignments and direction from the assigned Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse. The ER Tech position is directly responsible for the delivery of high quality, individualized basic patient care. The ER Tech supports the hospital mission and vision. The ER Tech utilizes knowledge of patient’s age, developmental status, spiritual and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. This position contributes to the provision of safety and quality care that result in positive outcomes in patient care.  

Qualifications:

1. Minimum Education:  High school graduate or equivalent required. EMT/CNA or MA certification preferred.
2. Minimum Experience: 1 year as an ER Tech, C.N.A. or MA in a hospital setting preferred.
3. Required Certifications:  Current BLS required. AB508, MAB, CPI or equivalent training within 90 days of hire/transfer/promotion date.
4. Other: Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
