Overview

Performs radiographic procedures in the cardio lab (includes cath lab and angio lab) to produce contrast enhanced radiographs of the heart, cardiovascular system and all vascular catheterizations to assist the physician (radiologist  or cardiologist) in diagnosis and intervention. The Cardiovascular tech will assist in patient care and preparation of patients scheduled for diagnostic or interventional procedures both in the cardiac cath lab and in the special procedures suite.  The Cardiovascular tech will demonstrate heightened knowledge, ability and experience, with all technical and clerical duties under the direction of the department supervisor, lead technician /circulating nurse and department policy. The Cardiovascular tech will be exceptional in skill, knowledge and composure during emergent situations. Services are delivered to the patient population ranging from the adult through geriatric.

 

  • This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Anaheim Regional Medical Center and ARMC. Qualifications

Education/Training/Experience            

Graduate of a cardiovascular technician training program with emphasis on invasive cardiology and hemodynamic

monitoring, or one year related experience, (including, on the job training.)

One year Cath Lab experience with excellent arrhythmia recognition and hemodynamic monitoring skills.

CVT in training has one year to demonstrate competency in all interventional procedures.

 

Licenses/Certifications              

Registered CVT preferred,

Current BLS-HCP

Current ACLS certification within 90 days.

Intra-aortic balloon pump certified, within 90 days
