The Social Worker provides social work services to patients, families, and others in all hospital areas
specific to assignment as applicable, and in accordance with hospital customer service expectations.
Professional services to be provided to meet the psychosocial needs of the patient may include, but are
not limited to, psychosocial assessments, brief treatment/counseling, crisis interventions, case
consultation, patient education, resource management, assistance with discharge planning, and support
groups.
The Social Worker is an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, providing mental health expertise in
addition to community outreach, networking, and liaison with community programs as needed.
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC
and Anaheim Regional Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent
with the core values of AHMC. The employee shall support Anaheim Regional Medical Center’s
strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan. The employee will also be
expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to; Customer Service,
Patient’s Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care.

MSW, MFCC or LMFT degree from an accredited school required.
Two years acute or related medical care experience preferred.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
LCSW preferred.
Healthcare Provider CPR required.
