JOB SUMMARY: The NICU manager is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization.  Performs duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan, The Joint Commission and other licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies.  The NICU nurse manager shall directly supervise personnel and assure the quality of clinical nursing care of patients in the NICU at all times.  The facility shall maintain written documentation of the qualification and responsibilities of the CCS certified community NICU nurse manager. Directly reports to the MCH Director.  Provides direction and guidane to the nurse managers, supervisors, and delivery of quality nursing care throughout the hospital.  Responsible for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient patient care in Labor and Delivery & Couplete Care.  This includes overall direction of clinical, human resources, and financial management.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. A graduate of state accredited school of nursing. BS in Nursing
2. Current CA RN license. 
3. Current NRP and BLS provider 
4. Certificate of completion from NICU training program
5. 3 years of clinical nursing experience with a minimum of 1 year in a regional or community NICU.
6. NICU CCRN preferred
7. Minimum 5 years recent active clinical experience in high risk L & D
8. Five years recent supervisory experience.
