The NICU RCP must demonstrate proficiency in the neonatal intensive care area and provide respiratory therapy to neonates as ordered by physicians, according to established standards and practices.
The NICU Respiratory Care Practitioner (“NICU RCP”) is responsible for providing safe, quality respiratory patient care and teaching to patients and families. Additional responsibilities include collaboration with the health care team, participation in on-going feedback regarding performance improvement, implementation of clinical pathway/plan of care to guide patient care delivery.
Graduate of an AMA accredited School for Respiratory Therapy or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year acute care experience in Respiratory Services with demonstrated experience in NICU respiratory therapy.
