The RCP Lead, in conjunction with the RT Director, plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates staff and activities for the department to ensure the delivery of high quality, cost effective patient care. The RCP Lead has fiscal responsibility for resources defined during the budget process. The position is accountable for scheduling, coordinating, and maintaining resources necessary on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
The RCP Lead's primary focus is with employees, patients, families, physicians, and the key contibutors from other departments who impact the services of the department. The success of the department depends significantly on the appointee's ability to participate well with others and/or collaborate with other leaders. The RCP Lead must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: Adult General Care ( Telemetry and Med-Surge), critical care areas (Intensive Care unit and Cardiovascular Unit), Emergency Room, Pre-Op and Recovery Room and may need to provide direct patient care in the areas mentioned above; this is dependent of hospital census and staffing needs.
