Plans, implements, and schedules the daily workload of the Engineering staff.
- Schedules all work to be performed
- Keeps on-going status of all work being performed posted.
- Maintains established timelines.
Provides training and assistance to staff as needed to ensure work is completed correctly and timely.
- Conducts regular inspections of work completed.
- Reports any problems/delays to Dept. Director.
Ensures all preventive maintenance is assigned and completed.
- Preventive maintenance records up to date. 70-80% completion weekly to monthly. 95% completion on semi-annual. 100% completion on all annual.
All paperwork, forms, inspection sheets and logs completed as required.
- All records are updated as required.
Ensures physical environment of department is kept in a safe, orderly manner per OSHA regulations, advises Engineering Coordinator of any materials or parts needed. Works with outside vendors.
- Maintains clean and orderly area at all times.
- Materials needed post to Engineering Coordinator daily 75% of the time.
- Co-ordinates & Schedules work to be completed by outside vendors/contractors.
Directing Services
- Organizes, directs, and staffs dept. In a manner that is commensurate with the scope of services offered. Works with Dept. Dir. on all personnel functions; institutes corrective action when necessary.
- Facilitates innovation and motivates staff to implement effectively the departments strategy, operational program and other plans.
- Assesses qualifications and competency of staff and contracted staff. Performance reviews are completed and submitted on or before due date.
- Provides individuals new to the department with an orientation of sufficient scope and duration to inform of responsibilities and how to fulfill them.
Participates in selecting outside sources for needed services.
- Interviews contractors to receive and analyze bids.
- Provides liaison with contractors, architects, engineers and material and equipment suppliers.
Guest/Interdepartmental Relations.
- As observed by representatives of management, all interactions are conducted in a professional manner.
- Verbal and written feedback from patients, family members/significant others, medical staff, visitors and co-workers indicates behavior conductive to positive guest relations.
