Overview

JOB SUMMARY:   Responsible for performing all generalist functions such as:  Partnering with employees and management to communicate various HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations; conducting confidential/sensitive investigations; preparing/maintaining employee handbook; conducting exit interviews; analyzing data and making recommendations to management for corrective action and continuous improvement; responding to employee relation issues and partnering with the Director of HR to determine an effective action plan; responding to EDD claims including disability claims, unemployment claims, employee benefits and HR audits; LOA, Workers Compensation claims, maintaining accurate reporting in the HRIS database; recruiting candidates and processing new hires, promotions, terminations using established proceduresAssists the Director of Human Resources in administering policies and procedures relating to hospital personnel.  Directs the work of the Benefits Specialist, Human Resource Technician and other department personnel.  The Director of Human Resources supervises the Human Resource Generalist, as well as other department personnel

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

    1. 1-2 years previous experience in Human Resources in an acute care hospital.
    2. Graduation from a recognized college or university with a degree in Business Administration, Personnel Management or Industrial Relations preferred.
    3. Knowledgeable of Google Sheets, Docs, G Drive and ther Google software.
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred.
  • LOA/Work Compensation experience required.
