Overview

To direct, plan, and develop all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging / Radiology’s quality of care in collaboration with medical staff leadership to achieve clinical and service objectives, fiscal performance targets, and the strategic plan and service line goals of San Gabriel Valley Medical Center.  This position is responsible for the overall direction of the following departments:  Interventional Radiology, Computed Tomographic Scanner, Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic Imaging, and Ultrasonography.  The position is accountable to County, State, and Federal agencies as well as Joint Commission for maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Responsibilities

Directs fiscal/human resource allocation of Imaging Services and the Breast Center.  Maintains compliance with all applicable regulatory mandates, including applicable policy/procedure review and revision.  Prepares operating and capital budget.  Directors Quality/Performance Improvement Initiatives.  Maintain positive physician relations.  Provide leadership in staff development and training.  Collaborates with AHMC Inc. and directs San Gabriel Valley Medical Center involvement for areas of responsibility.  Collaborates with co-workers, peers and superiors.

 

Qualifications

Education/Training/Experience

 

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive management experience in an imaging setting/acute care hospital.
  • Demonstrated experience and competency in operations improvement, clinical program development, organizational development and financial management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in health care-related field.
  • Advanced degree in health-care related field or business preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements for imaging and related modalities.

 

Licenses/Certifications:

 

  • Current CRT, ARRT Certification; Current Fluoro Permit; Current BCLS-C Card
