The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), is a member of the health care team who assists in the delivery of total patient care, under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
The Monitor Tech/Unit Secretary, reporting to the Nursing Unit Director, with assignment and direction from the Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse, is responsible for assisting in the planning, implementing and evaluating the activities occurring in the nursing station by performance of clerical/ receptionist &/or Cardiac Monitoring duties. This position is responsible for maintaining the physical environment of the nursing unit. The MT/US supports the hospital mission and vision with emphasis on customer relations. The MT/US utilizes knowledge of patient’s age, spiritual and cultural diversity into unit communication & organization. The US is a non-licensed position whose training & skills enables him/her to interpret basic cardiac rhythms, recognize & alert the RN to significant rhythm changes or common dysrhythmias. The position contributes to the provision of safety and quality care that result in positive outcomes in patient care.

Ensure patient centered discharge planning and assessment by communicating the appropriate discharge information and instructions to the primary care giver and primary physician and/or follow-up care agency. Assures patients are transferred to appropriate approved facilities when required.

- The Discharge Coordinator’s job is to assist/support the Case Manager in ensuring that patient’s transition from the hospital to another level of care is successful. This would include transfer to LTAC, SNF, ECF, Assisted Living, B & C, home or other destinations as outlined in the Discharge Care Plan assessment.

Under the supervision of the Admitting Supervisor and the Manager of Admitting, the Communications Operator is responsible for the timely answering of incoming telephone calls and proper routing of telephone communications. The Operator is to display courtesy with all patients, staff, visitors and work in a cooperative manner to fulfill the goals of the department and the hospital.
The candidate chosen for the position will be able to independently assist the GI Lab physicians on all procedures performed. All hospital policies and procedures will be followed and individual will adhere to all regulatory compliances.
The Staff Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families in compliance with the standards for care at Seton Medical Center, AHMC and Nurse Practice Act. The Medical telemetry nursing involves the use of specialized equipment to monitor patients' vital signs remotely, often for those with cardiac conditions or other medical issues requiring continuous monitoring. The Med Tele Nurse will also cover the needs of a Acute Care- Med Surge patient.
Under direct supervision, the OR Tech supports the department of Surgical Services in the provision of patient care by the coordination of surgical instrumentation and performance of scrub technologist activities. Responsibilities include providing organizational, communication and assistive skills necessary to facilitate the flow of surgical services activities, ensuring availability and proper maintenance of instrumentation and surgical supplies, adhering to principles of asepsis and policies and procedures, demonstrating knowledge of surgical procedures and providing support to patients, visitors, physicians, staff and ancillary personnel.

The Director of Emergency Department is the designated leader responsible for providing the overall leadership and direction for the Emergency Department. The Director has 24-hour responsibility and accountability for planning, organizing, developing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the human and material resources necessary for quality patient care and effective nursing operations. The Director participates in assessing the environment, forecasting trends, transmitting values, communicating ideas, developing and implementing standards and initiating programs and systems.
The Respiratory Care Practitioner II (“RCP II”) is responsible for providing safe, quality respiratory patient care and teaching to patients and families. Additional responsibilities include collaboration with the health care team, participation in on-going feedback regarding performance improvement, implementation of clinical pathway/plan of care to guide patient care delivery.
The RCP II must demonstrate proficiency in adult general care areas, critical care areas, and Bronchoscopy procedures. As needed, this position may be assigned to perform Pulmonary Function Tests or act as a relief lead. Acting in a relief lead capacity includes organizing, delegating and coordinating the daily activities of the Respiratory staff.

Must be familiar with all demographics and able to identify the guarantor, guarantor address, insured and next of kin information. Able to identify all insurance cards, HMO's, PPO’s, HMO/Medicare and Medi-Cal. Must be accurate when updating all registrations. Able to recognize potential problems and recommend corrective action or additional training when necessary. Multi-task oriented with emphasis on detail is essential. Must be able to prioritize time and customize the essential job function.
