Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is a 101 bed acute care community hospital. Monterey Park Hospital has provided our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 50 years. Monterey Park Hospital is recruiting for a LVN for our Telemetry Department. This is a full time, 12 hour, night shift position. This position reports to the Director of Telemetry.
The Staff Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families in compliance with the standards for care at Seton Medical Center, AHMC and Nurse Practice Act. The Medical telemetry nursing involves the use of specialized equipment to monitor patients' vital signs remotely, often for those with cardiac conditions or other medical issues requiring continuous monitoring. The Med Tele Nurse will also cover the needs of a Acute Care- Med Surge patient.

Review/revised policies and procedures. Observes and evaluates unit staff ability to perform assigned duties and provides feedback to director as needed. Rounds on all patients daily. Assesses the care being delivered to patients on assigned unit in accordance with policies procedures and standards of care. Contributes to the development of more complex patient care plans. Supervises, supports and coaches other in utilizing the nursing process with all patients on the unit.
