The staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration. The RN shall, for their patient, collaborate in the formulation of the overall plan of care for the patient, as evidenced by written documentation. Identifies needs and problems specific to biophysical, cognitive, developmental, emotional, socio-cultural, and spiritual. Under the supervision of the Director, Medical Staff Services, performs a variety of administrative, staff support and clerical functions, which require a range of skills knowledge of organizational policies and procedures. Assists with inquires, performs data entry, on-line verifications of medical licensures and other credentials, verify physician hospital affiliations, general queries and reports from MD Staff data base, mailings, filings, and other functions and projects as assigned.
Under the supervision of the Director of Education, the Confidential Assistant- Education performs work of moderate difficulty in the Education Department with a wide variety of duties. Common tasks include answering employee and applicant questions, receiving and transferring phone calls, receiving and distributing mail, creating and distributing documents, filing both paper and electronic, setting appointments, arranging meetings, maintaining calendars, copying files, and entering data into computer systems, creating/tracking employee compliance with required education programs.
Additionally, the Confidential Assistant - Education is expected to assist in the coordination of academic affiliations, facilitate and maintain background check paperwork for instructors and students, compile spreadsheets, prepare presentations, and participate on various hospital wide committees.
