The Monitor Tech/Unit Secretary, reporting to the Nursing Unit Director, with assignment and direction from the Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse, is responsible for assisting in the planning, implementing and evaluating the activities occurring in the nursing station by performance of clerical/ receptionist &/or Cardiac Monitoring duties. This position is responsible for maintaining the physical environment of the nursing unit. The MT/US supports the hospital mission and vision with emphasis on customer relations. The MT/US utilizes knowledge of patient’s age, spiritual and cultural diversity into unit communication & organization. The US is a non-licensed position whose training & skills enables him/her to interpret basic cardiac rhythms, recognize & alert the RN to significant rhythm changes or common dysrhythmias. The position contributes to the provision of safety and quality care that result in positive outcomes in patient care.
This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. Responsibilities include directing
PCA activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of
patients/family, implementation of treatment plan, MD orders, documentation and evaluation. Integration of patient care
standards are incorporated into all clinical activities.

The Certified Nursing Assistant assists the clinical staff in the care of and treatment for patients in an acute care setting under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities may vary based on department assignment. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Utilizes knowledge of patient's age, developmental status, spiritual and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
Performs technical skills and provides assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses, and other professionals in the operating room. Performs similar duties in other areas of the hospital as assigned. Independently scrubs on all surgical procedures. Demonstrates ability to problem solve in relation to the procedure being performed. Applies basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, microbiology, and pharmacology for optimum surgical patient care. Demonstrates knowledge and practice of patient care concepts. Applies the principles of asepsis during surgical procedures.
The Clinical Manager is responsible and accountable for the quality of staff and functions during their shift. Directly supervises and communications with all staff along with the Department Director. Assists the Department Director in the daily operation of the unit, directing, supervising and evaluating personnel, ensuring the proper use of time, equipment and staff. Ensure the efficient functions of the department. Performs direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope of practice. Continually assess care and direct staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care.
Lead LVN is responsible for the coordination of assessment, data collection, and submission of the Minimum Data Set ( MDS) & Payroll Based Journal ( PBJ). The position will be responsible for MDS, PBJ, and conversion & maintenance of paper medical records to electronic medical records. Assist with staffing of unit, staff evaluation, education of staff, other various duties assigned by the unit director.
The Case Manager Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for the preparation, recording and tracking of initial and retrospective payments for hospital services. Answers, directs and records departmental phone calls from a variety of sources (Insurance companies, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Home Health Agencies, Durable Medical Equipment, other health care providers, etc.) understanding priorities for the delivery of quality patient care. Coordinates with Discharge Planners for continuum of patient care, for example, durable medical equipment (DME) and Levels of Care.
This position is responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as defined by departmental policies and procedures for neonatal through geriatric patients. Responsibilities include general respiratory patient care, emergency care, critical care, patient assessment, and patient plans of care, patient/family education and patient/family discharge instruction. This position also requires utilization of advanced practitioner skills to intervene in complex patient care situations. The Respiratory Care Practitioner II assists in the development of policies and procedures, patient protocols, education/coaching of nursing, support personnel, patients, and caregivers and participates in multidisciplinary patient care conferences and performance improvement activities.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care services that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care and meets the communication needs of the patient and family under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of normal limits of vital signs and commonly used lab tests by recognizing abnormal findings and reports them to the RN. Under leadership of RN the LVN gathers data on patient’s physical and emotional needs. LVN gathers data on family psychological needs. Performs simple procedures skillfully (e.g. dressing changes, urinary catheterizations, tube irrigations). Participates in patient care plan conferences and in discharge planning.
The Registered Nurse provides care, treatment, counseling and health education to the hospitalized patient. The RN is responsible for planning and coordination of care across the continuum. This planning and coordination includes meeting and exceeding compliance with core measures, contributes to reduction in LOS, active participation with all aspects of quality, safety and performance improvement activities, collaboration with all the members of the multidisciplinary team in providing outstanding customer service to patients, family members, physicians and the public. Meets and exceeds the Department of Health Service (DHS), The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory requirements.

The OR Technician scrubs for surgical cases in the Operating Room maintaining equipment and supplies, using the principles of surgical asepsis, and standard precautions. Collaborates with charge nurse concerning abilities and assignments for operating room techniques. Demonstrates an understanding of the planned surgical procedure and ensures that all necessary instruments and implants are available and sterilized prior to the start of the surgery.
The Nursing House Supervisor is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of the activities of the total patient care services during his/her assigned shift. In the absence of the Hospital Administrator and/or designee, the Nursing House Supervisor has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator on-call. Carries out hospital/nursing policies, procedures and standards. Visits all patient care units to ascertain condition of patients, evaluate staffing needs and provide support to caregivers.
