The Social Worker provides social work services to patients, families, and others in all hospital areas specific to assignment as applicable, and in accordance with hospital customer service expectations. Professional services to be provided to meet the psychosocial needs of the patient may include, but are not limited to, psychosocial assessments, brief treatment/counseling, crisis interventions, case consultation, patient education, resource management, assistance with discharge planning, and support groups.
The Social Worker is an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, providing mental health expertise in addition to community outreach, networking, and liaison with community programs as needed.
The Emergency room Registered Nurse is directly accountable for the care given to patients in the Emergency Department. Employee communicates with the physician about the changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and syptomatology. RN Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment. Knowledgeable of Emergency Medical Technician regulations and the reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies.
A Registered Dietitian is responsible for performing major clinical nutrition activities on all patient care units, including screening, assessing, and educating patients in accordance with established procedures.
Under general supervision, contributes direct/indirect care and services to all hospital for inpatients and outpatients. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; set up, operates, troubleshoots life support and monitoring systems, assess response to therapy, provide documentation, participate in patient transport and performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Develops and maintains orientation, training and competency tools and ensures compliance. Assists the Laboratory Services Director in evaluating and documenting employee performance. Assists Laboratory Services Director in the recruitment, hiring, termination and retention of employees. Coordinates staff development activities of section including education, competency completion, validation, and orientation. Participates in data collection and analysis as requested by management. Maximizes efficiency in section operations. Exhibits willingness to resolve problems as they arise.
This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. Responsibilities include directing PCA activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients/family, implementation of treatment plan, MD orders, documentation and evaluation. The LVN Case Manager uses InterQual criteria to evaluate the appropriateness of admissions, concurrent stay and readiness for discharge. She/he assures correct level of care: critical, telemetry, acute, observation, for all patients. The Case Manager provides an efficient, coordinated approach to clinical management, with an emphasis on discharge planning, care coordination and utilization management activities for select patient populations across the continuum of programs and services at AHMC. The essential functions of the LVN Case Manager require constant collaboration with the Social Workers, Nursing staff, Financial Counselors, Medical Staff to coordinate the care of patients in a proactive manner.

As needed, this position may be assigned to perform Pulmonary Function Tests or act as a relief lead. Acting in a relief lead capacity includes organizing, delegating and coordinating the daily activities of the Respiratory staff.

This position is a first line management position. The incumbent has 12-hour responsibility for the coordination of care for patients and families. In conjunction with the area’s Operations Manager or Director, the incumbent shall plan, organize, direct, and evaluate people and activities for the department to ensure the delivery of high quality, cost-effective patient care. In conjunction with the area’s Operations Manager or Director, the incumbent has fiscal responsibility for resources that are defined during the budget process. The position is accountable for scheduling, coordinating, and maintaining the resources necessary on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

The Corporate Supply Chain Supervisor coordinates and is responsible to oversee and manage the daily operational activities of the Buyer and Expediters in managing the processing orders for various supplies, equipment, and services. The Corporate Supply Chain Supervisor oversee the activities of the buyers throughout the AHMC system to ensure that economies of scale are obtained through vendor sources. The position ensures procurement of capital purchases and various supplies and services requested by each facility according to policy.
