The Director of Case Management is responsible for the overall operations of Pre-Admissions, Case Management, Discharge Planning and Social Services at AHMC-ARMC. This position is a liaison between medical staff and administration and is responsible for monitoring utilization processes, LOS, patient mix and outlier trends. It also facilitates information sharing and problem resolution by maintaining cooperative relationships. The position is accountable to County, State and Federal agencies as well as Joint Commission for maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and standards and for contributing to quality patient outcomes.

The Denials Manager appeals all denials using Milliman Care Guidelines criteria. Evaluates, tracks and trends denials and implements denial prevention programs. Works closely with Case Managers, Physicians and multidisciplinary team to ensure compliance with documentation and educates as needed.
The Denials Manager role also includes a daily review of hospital charts (ED, Outpatients & Inpatient Discharges) to ensure the accuracy of charges in conjunction with the services rendered in compliance with state and federal regulations. Will complete audits requested by the business office, insurance companies, external audit agencies, patient requests and concurrent reviews.
