The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), is a member of the health care team who assists in the delivery of total patient care, under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
Primarily responsible for providing acute patient care in a safe and effective manner in Pre-Op/PACU from admission to discharge. Additional responsibilities include directing the unlicensed employee’s activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients/family, implementation of treatment plan/MD orders, and documentation and evaluation.
Representative duties include:
Collaboration with health care team, patient and family to coordinate patient care delivery.
Participation in ongoing feedback related to self, individual, unit and organizational performance improvement.
Integration of patient care standards and protocols into personal practice and assisting other RN’s.
Completion of patient care assignments and documentation, asking for and offering assistance as appropriate and delegating as appropriate.

Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, this position assists the RN/LVN in the provision of patient care including patient data collection, oral care, bathing, assistance with ambulating and toileting. This position participates in quality patient care delivery, efficient patient flow and effective communication with the health care team. The Radiology Technologist operates x-ray equipment as designated.
Demonstrates competency and proficiency with x-ray equipment in various locations such as ER/ICU portables and C-Arm in OR.
Examines requisitions for appropriate procedural information to include physician order, history, procedure.

Under the direction of the department manager, performs interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to insure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients. Radiology technicians must be able to closely follow physician instructions, prepare radiograph equipment, position patients, correctly and accurately capture the requested diagnostic image.
The Emergency room Registered Nurse is directly accountable for the care given to patients in the Emergency Department. Employee communicates with the physician about the changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and syptomatology. RN Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment. Knowledgeable of Emergency Medical Technician regulations and the reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies.
Is skilled in reading and interpreting cardiac monitors and arrhythmias. Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for clerical support on the patient care unit. Maintains accurate order entry transmission of physician’s orders to ancillary departments. Works under the direction of a licensed nurse.

This position is responsible for assisting in nursing care and preparation of the obstetrical patient through performance of routine and delegated duties according to the standards and policies of the hospital and Perinatal Services Department. Performs scrub duties and related procedures. Provides non-clinical support through management of supply and equipment maintenance. Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
