The Infection Control Nurse shall maintain a system for active surveillance of hospital acquired infections and specific reportable community acquired infections. This designee has the authority to take measures to institute appropriate infection control precautions of isolation for a specific patient when necessary to ensure safety for all patients, family and personnel.
Primary Function
Responsible for the effective function and coordination of the credentialing and re-credentialing process and other assigned tasks. Coordinates with physicians, external agencies, administration, nursing department, risk management / performance improvement department, and medical records department. Reports to the CVO Director.
