The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care services that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care and meets the communication needs of the patient and family under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of normal limits of vital signs and commonly used lab tests by recognizing abnormal findings and reports them to the RN. Under leadership of RN the LVN gathers data on patient’s physical and emotional needs. LVN gathers data on family psychological needs. Performs simple procedures skillfully (e.g. dressing changes, urinary catheterizations, tube irrigations). Participates in patient care plan conferences and in discharge planning.

Evaluation of Pediatric Unit based on Accrediting and Regulatory Agencies
The day / night shift respiratory therapist, first and foremost, serves as back-up and support for the Director of Respiratory Services and performs job duties, as delegated. The respiratory supervisor is responsible insuring proper staffing and the optimum care of patients on his/her shift in the absence of the Director. He/she helps to coordinate technical procedures according to the priority and degree of patients’ illness, assuring continuity of care. The respiratory supervisor will serve as a liaison with Nurses, Physicians and Therapists, as related to the department’s duties. He/She will insure instruction and supervision of Respiratory Care students while they are in the clinical environment. The respiratory supervisor will assist the Director with performance evaluation of the respiratory therapist, and facilitate with continuing education and in-service of the respiratory department. The respiratory therapist supervisor must have good communication skills and a strong background in ER, ICU, and NICU Respiratory Care. He/She needs to be able to act independently in the absence of the Director. He/She must be qualified to perform all the Respiratory Care procedures and be able to guide others through patient care procedures.
Collect blood samples from all age groups including neonates. Responsible for front and back office procedures, computer entry, collect blood samples, do basic lab test processing, set-up Microbiology cultures. Be able to organize workload to work effectively in a fast paced setting and prioritize duties for routine and stat testing.
The Social Service Designee is responsible for assisting in meeting the psychosocial needs of residents and families in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) environment. Provides consultations and casework and assists residents and families in obtaining resources appropriate for their identified needs. Coordination of discharge planning process for residents includes: referrals to community resources and ordering of durable medical equipment.

Overview
Under the general supervision of the case management Director acts as a patient advocate/case manager to hospital clients. An autonomous role that coordinates, negotiates, procures services and resources for, and manages the care of complex patients to facilitate achievement of quality and cost efficient patient outcomes. Looks for opportunities to reduce cost while ensuring the highest quality of care is maintained. Applies review criteria to determine medical necessity for admission and continued stay. Provides clinically based case management, discharge planning, and care coordination to facilitate the delivery of cost-effective quality healthcare and assists in the identification of appropriate utilization of resources across the continuum of care. Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary staff internal and external to the organization. Participates in quality improvement and evaluation processes related to the management of patient care.
The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room provides safe and effective care of the perioperative patient. The OR RN is responsible for assessing the patient, planning and implementing care specific to each patient's needs. The OR RN coordinates the care of patients with the other members of the OR team, consisting of the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and surgical technician adhering to the Standards of Care of the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN), the regulatory requirements of The Joint Commission (TJC), the Department of Health Services (DHS), and Title 22 from the California Code of Regulations.

The Clinical Manager of Post-Partum/ Nursery is a Registered Nurse (RN) who works in collaboration with the Director of Perinatal Services on administrative tasks and acts as a clinical resource for the Labor and Delivery (Mother baby) unit. The Clinical Manager of Post-Partum/ Nursery shall directly supervise staff and assure the quality of clinical nursing care of patients in the Mother Baby Unit. The Clinical Manager will plan and maintain safe staffing patterns for the patient care unit while meeting the patient’s needs based on appropriate level of care. Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, CDC, and other unit specific nursing practice guidelines recommended.
Labor & Delivery Nurses provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery of an infant. They are responsible for making sure that the medical and emotional needs of the patient are met throughout birthing process.
The Monitor Technician is skilled in reading and interpreting cardiac monitors and arrhythmias. Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for clerical support on the patient care unit. Maintains accurate order entry transmission of physician’s orders to ancillary departments. Works under the direction of a licensed nurse. Accurately and timely transcribes all orders from the chart to order entry in Imed including CCU orders and ICU emergency orders. Utilizes computer skills for accurate unit census and order entry, and maintains all log books, (i.e. census, telemetry, consults).
The staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration.
