Primary Function
Under the Accounting Manager, this position verifies, reconciles, analyzes and process account payables in an accurate and timely manner.
The PACU Nurse performs pre and post operative procedures. He/she is responsible to the Nurse Manager of PACU, and works closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists and other members of the operative team. The PACU Nurse is independently responsible for the welfare and safety of the patient pre/post the surgical procedure.

Perform various clerical billing and follow up functions, but not limited to items listed in the Performance Criteria. Comply with hospital and federal policies and guidelines in the billing and collection of claims. Reviews payor contracts to ensure correct contractual adjustments are posted as per individual payor agreement.
Supervisor for Urinalysis, Serology, Coagulation. Regularly utilizes the lab computer for various aspects of daily work and verifies completion of work by various computer programs. Able to work in a generalist capacity, adhering to standard lab practices. Must be able to work in all sections of our fast-paced laboratory. Work load includes Stat and ER testing, routine AM testing in all sections of the Lab. This includes Blood Bank and limited Microbiology.
Able to work in all basic functions of a CLS in the main lab, blood bank and microbiology. Performs quality control procedures for routine and stat testing of patient samples. Maintains records; performs and records instrument maintenance; troubleshooting instrument and sample problems; regularly utilizes the lab computer for various aspects of daily work; verifies completion of work using the computer. Able to work independently in a generalist capacity while adhering to standard lab practices.
Provide social work services to patients and families to facilitate their ability to cope with psychological and social problems related to illness and hospitalization. Provides appropriate discharge planning, abuse detection and reporting, referral, consultation and counseling services.

The Insurance Verifier provides administrative support and performs general office functions in the Outpatient Bariatric Department. Completes insurance verification and coordinates patients’ clearances with their doctors. The Insurance Verifier demonstrates ability and professional willingness to support the patients and their families through a structured surgical weight loss program. Coordinate, monitor and document all patient’s authorizations / approvals and appointments as needed from outside services regarding clearance for surgery. In all interactions with patients, members, physician, staff and visitors - demonstrates culturally sensitivity.

The Activity Assistant is to assist the Activity Coordinator run a creative and interactive activities program. This must be done in accordance with current federal, state, local and corporate standards, regulations, and guidelines to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of each resident.
