The Clinical Manager of Labor & Delivery is a Registered Nurse (RN) who answers to the Director of Maternal Child Health with administrative tasks and acts as a clinical resource for the Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit. The Clinical Manager of L&D shall directly supervise personnel and assure the quality of clinical nursing care of patients in the L&D Unit. The hours of work are flexible based upon the need of the hospital. Plans and maintains staffing pattern for the patient care unit, meeting the patient’s need for continuity of care and level of care. Demonstrates knowledge of legal and ethical aspects surrounding the provision of patient care; ensures the staff functions are within legal limitations. Consistently guides, directs, coaches, and supports staff regarding performance, problem solving, and decision making.
A Clinical Laboratory Scientist with a minimum of two years experience responsible for performing testing in the assigned work areas without direct supervision. Must possess a “can do” attitude and be flexible to change. Must demonstrate a good work ethic in regards to time and attendance. Performs all duties with a thorough understanding of both theoretical and technical issues. Performs quality control appropriately and documents and resolves and QC failures according to policy. Recognizes the relationship between test results and responds appropriately. Calls all critical values to physician.
Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), under the supervision of the Supervisor and/or Lead Therapist shall deliver all types of respiratory modalities to patients as established by the department’s standard operating procedures. The RCP must have the knowledge and skills needed to carry out these procedures. His/Her knowledge must include pharmacology as it pertains to Respiratory Therapy Drugs, Cardiopulmonary Anatomy, Physiology, Acid-Base Analysis, Electrocardiography, Bronchoscopy, Holter Monitoring, C-Section stand-by, Neonatal Intubation, Pulmonary Function and Treadmill Testing. As well, must include indications and absolute contradictions for IPPB, Oxygen Administration, Chest Physiotherapy, Aerosol Administration and Mechanical Ventilator. Demonstrates proper skill to attend all high risk deliveries. Competent in managing the Drager Baby Log

Assists patients with activities of daily living and helps to promote a safe, comfortable environment that fosters the physiological and psychosocial well-being of the patient. The Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Evening shift, performs laboratory procedure on specimens from inpatient and outpatients and assist the Coordinator in the daily operations of the Laboratory.
