Under the direction of a Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse, provides basic nursing care and implements selected aspects of the patients nursing plan of care.
This position requires providing care/service to an acutely ill through rehabilitating patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

The Sub-Acute Director is responsible for the supervision of the nursing staff as well as
oversight of the Unit Social Worker, Activities Leader and Program Secretary. This
position administers the nursing program in Hospital in order to maintain standards of
patient care. Recommends establishment or revision of policies and develops
standards of performance. Interprets policies and objectives of Hospital nursing
service to staff and community groups. Promotes good working relations with
community groups. Promotes a good working relationship with community agencies
and with other Hospital departments. Performs personnel management functions, such
as establishing personnel qualification requirements, drafting procedure manuals,
initiating in-service programs and installing record and reporting systems. Appoints
professional and auxiliary nursing staff. Initiates studies to evaluate effectiveness of
nursing services in relation to its objectives and cost. Participates in community health
programs.
- The Discharge Coordinator’s job is to assist/support the Case Manager in ensuring that patient’s transition from the hospital to another level of care is successful. This would include transfer to LTAC, SNF, ECF, Assisted Living, B & C, home or other destinations as outlined in the Discharge Care Plan assessment.

- Under the direct supervision and control of a Registered Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician performs packaging, manipulative, repetitive, or other non-discretionary tasks related to the processing of a prescription or medication order in a pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician does not perform duties restricted to a Registered Pharmacist.

The Staff Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families in compliance with the standards for care at Seton Medical Center, AHMC and Nurse Practice Act. The Medical telemetry nursing involves the use of specialized equipment to monitor patients' vital signs remotely, often for those with cardiac conditions or other medical issues requiring continuous monitoring. The Med Tele Nurse will also cover the needs of a Acute Care- Med Surge patient.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Staff Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families in compliance with the standards for care at AHMC Seton Medical Center, American Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, and American Nurse Practice Act. The Clinical Manager of Labor & Delivery is a Registered Nurse (RN) who answers to the Director of Maternal Child Health with administrative tasks and acts as a clinical resource for the Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit. The Clinical Manager of L&D shall directly supervise personnel and assure the quality of clinical nursing care of patients in the L&D Unit. The hours of work are flexible based upon the need of the hospital. Plans and maintains staffing pattern for the patient care unit, meeting the patient’s need for continuity of care and level of care. Demonstrates knowledge of legal and ethical aspects surrounding the provision of patient care; ensures the staff functions are within legal limitations. Consistently guides, directs, coaches, and supports staff regarding performance, problem solving, and decision making.
The Monitor Technician is skilled in reading and interpreting cardiac monitors and arrhythmias. Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for clerical support on the patient care unit. Maintains accurate order entry transmission of physician’s orders to ancillary departments. Works under the direction of a licensed nurse.
