- Under the direct supervision and control of a Registered Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician performs packaging, manipulative, repetitive, or other non-discretionary tasks related to the processing of a prescription or medication order in a pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician does not perform duties restricted to a Registered Pharmacist.

JOB SUMMARY: The Critical care Technician under the direct supervision of a registered nurse participates in the delivery of patient care within the critical care environment. This position includes, but is not limited to following the essential functions. Essential functions include; functions within the established policies and procedures of the Nursing Department of Garfield Medical Center, responsibility for collaboration with the RN for efficient, cost effective use of time and equipment, provides care to designated patients and prioritizes based on patient's care requirements as delegated by the RN, an interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- One year experience in ED or Critical Care preferred.
- EKG Certificate upon hire
- Assesses patient/family health problems and resources, takes a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care provided by the nursing team. Provides technical nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations.
- This position requires providing service to a one or more age populations including an ill neonate through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. Admission coordination, make nursing assignments, coordinate shift activities and quality control functions

Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), under the supervision of the Supervisor and/or Lead Therapist shall deliver all types of respiratory modalities to patients as established by the department’s standard operating procedures. The RCP must have the knowledge and skills needed to carry out these procedures. His/Her knowledge must include pharmacology as it pertains to Respiratory Therapy Drugs, Cardiopulmonary Anatomy, Physiology, Acid-Base Analysis, Electrocardiography, Bronchoscopy, Holter Monitoring, C-Section stand-by, Neonatal Intubation, Pulmonary Function and Treadmill Testing. As well, must include indications and absolute contradictions for IPPB, Oxygen Administration, Chest Physiotherapy, Aerosol Administration and Mechanical Ventilator. Demonstrates proper skill to attend all high risk deliveries. Competent in managing the Drager Baby Log
The Insurance Verification is a member of the Business Office Department who supervises the quality control and insurance verification staff and processes. This person maintains a close working relationship with all Business Office personnel, Admitting, Nursing personnel, physicians, and ancillary departments.
Patient Access Representative demonstrates the ability to accurately input demographic and insurance information for patients admitted to the Hospital, Emergency Department and Outpatient Departments. Acknowledge consumers promptly and in a courteous manor, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service to all we serve.
The OR Technician scrubs for surgical cases in the Operating Room maintaining equipment and supplies, using the principles of surgical asepsis, and standard precautions. Collaborates with charge nurse concerning abilities and assignments for operating room techniques. Demonstrates an understanding of the planned surgical procedure and ensures that all necessary instruments and implants are available and sterilized prior to the start of the surgery.
The staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. Provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) functions to promote and improve patient experience by managing and executing customer service strategies and initiatives throughout the organization. The PEC collaboratively works with other patient advocates, nursing and ancillary staffs and other care partners to support the growth and development of staff, support operations, provide education and training, and assist in marketing the hospital and organization. The PEC demonstrates a positive attitude at all times, completes daily rounds and follow up calls, analyzes data regarding processes and develops action plans to address findings. Facilitates house-wide patient experience program and caregiver excellence. The Patient Experience Coordinator develops and reinforces service behaviors and excellence strategies, including rounding with purpose, AIDET, service recovery, teamwork, patient/family involvement with shift report, cleanliness & quietness. The position completes follow up from patient service reporting systems, tracks and trends findings, reports findings and action plan to designated medical staff meetings.
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), is a member of the health care team who assists in the delivery of total patient care, under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
