Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is a 101 bed acute care community hospital. Monterey Park Hospital has provided our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 40 years. Monterey Park Hospital is recruiting for a Charge Nurse for our Telemetry Department. This is a full time, 12 hour, night shift position.
Monitors the admissions, continued stay, and discharge of patients following pre-established criteria. Assures that patients meet InterQual criteria from admission to discharge including appropriateness of level of care. Conducts interdisciplinary care management rounds. Ensures collaboration between multidisciplinary healthcare team members, primary physician, community agencies, HMOs/PPOs, CCS, etc., whose services may be required and/or related to the care needs of the patient after hospital discharge. Monitors nursing and medical plans of care/discharge plans and provides appropriate interventions to assure care is appropriate, coordinated and that avoidable patient days are addressed effectively through education, consultation, and counseling as needed. Ensure patient centered discharge planning and assessment by communicating the appropriate discharge information and instructions to the primary care giver and primary physician and/or follow-up care agency. Assures patients are transferred to appropriate approved facilities when required.
This position requires providing service to an ill through rehabilitating neonatal through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

To manage, oversee, plan, and develop all aspects of Imaging and the Breast Center quality of care in collaboration with medical staff leadership to achieve clinical and service objectives, fiscal performance targets, and the strategic plan and service line goals of AHMC- ARMC. This position is responsible for the overall direction of the following departments: Imaging, Breast Care Center, Diagnostic Testing Center, and the MRI Center. The position is accountable to County, State, and Federal agencies as well as Joint Commission for maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

The Perioperative Manager is a Registered Nurse responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating clinical, administrative and operational activities for a nursing/patient care unit; implements and interprets policies, procedures, standards and regulations for nursing personnel, patients, medical staff, and the public. She/he maintains twenty-four-hour accountability for all activities of the unit. Applies ANA Standards of Nursing Administrative Practice in performance of leadership role.
Responsible to answer all incoming calls to the department and assists callers with their questions or concerns, or directs them to the appropriate party. Performs all necessary support functions as related to the human resources department. Responsible for maintaining confidentiality.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing certificate. Licensure in the state of California as a Registered Nurse (RN). Proficient in oral and written communication skills. Ability to practice leadership, interpersonal skills, communication skills, teamwork, quality improvement and professionalism.
Current California RN license
BCLS, ACLS (AHA) Basic Dysrhythmia Cert., NIHS Stroke Cert.
Proficiency in both written and oral English
1 Year acute experience.
This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. Responsibilities include directing PCA activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients/family, implementation of treatment plan, MD orders, documentation and evaluation. Integration of patient care standards are incorporated into all clinical activities.
A California registered technician who under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist maintains drug inventories, patient medication profiles, prepares medications, issues medications in the appropriate manner to patient care areas, restocks medications, and assists the pharmacists in all other areas of drug distribution as needed and allowed by State Law. Assists the pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care to patients. Complies with applicable laws and regulations.
