Applies coats of paint, varnish, stains, enamels or lacquer to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces, trimmings and fixtures of the hospital, using paintbrushes, rollers, scrapers and blowtorches. Smoothes surfaces, using sandpaper, wire brushes or steel wool and removes old paint from surfaces, using paint remover, scrapes, wire brushes or blowtorch to prepare surfaces for painting. Fills nail holes, cracks and joints with putty plaster or other filler.
Basic knowledge of landscape maintenance. Performs general landscape maintenance, and assists in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of hospital in good repair. Minor plumbing work, mechanical repairs and other duties relating to maintenance are the primary duties. Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the Engineering Department. Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system.
This employee, in collaboration with the Patient Experience staff, will perform
purposeful daily rounding on patients and families in the facility to assess patient needs and collaborate
with nursing and other staff to ensure that needs are met. The staff member will demonstrate
professional courtesy at all times, and will role-model excellent verbal, and non-verbal communication
skills. They will conduct discharge follow-up phone calls, and perform other patient/family satisfaction
activities as requested. The employee will respond to basic non-clinical concerns and provide
appropriate referral for further assistance when needed.
