JOB DESCRIPTION – POSITION REQUIREMENTS JOB TITLE: Mental Health Worker

This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. Responsibilities include directing PCA activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients/family, implementation of treatment plan, MD orders, documentation and evaluation. Integration of patient care standards are incorporated into all clinical activities. A Registered Dietitian is responsible for performing major clinical nutrition activities on all patient care units, including screening, assessing, and educating patients in accordance with established procedures.

The Quality Control Training Analyst reviews previous day’s admissions, registrations, insurance notification faxes, and identifies and corrects all demographic information, reviews required forms to ensure appropriate fields are checked, signed, timed, dated and witnessed. Records errors by registrar and provides report to manager. 

A Clinical Laboratory Scientist with a minimum of two years experience responsible for performing testing in the assigned work areas without direct supervision. Must possess a “can do” attitude and be flexible to change. Must demonstrate a good work ethic in regards to time and attendance. Performs all duties with a thorough understanding of both theoretical and technical issues. Performs quality control appropriately and documents and resolves and QC failures according to policy. Recognizes the relationship between test results and responds appropriately. Calls all critical values to physician.   - $10 Night Shift Differential  

Patient Access Representative demonstrates the ability to accurately input demographic and insurance information for patients admitted to the Hospital, Emergency Department and Outpatient Departments. Acknowledge consumers promptly and in a courteous manor, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service to all we serve.   Communicate with multiple departments, including outside physician offices, collection of deposits, co-pays and balances. Notify Financial Advocates of ay self-pay or uninsured patients. Records information into computer, scans required documents, pre-registers patients as scheduled. Enters orders for specific ancillary or admissions as rendered.

Properly performs venipuncture on inpatients and outpatients. Properly disposes of all contaminated needles immediately upon completion of phlebotomy procedures. Completes all timed draws, STAT, and ASAP orders before ending the shift. Strictly follows Hospital and Lab policies/procedures regarding patient care with special attention to isolation procedures. Assists in orientation of new personnel as requested.

The staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Performs CT imaging scans on patients and coordinates patient flow and the activities of the scanner. Performs all diagnostic CT procedures to include head, spine, abdomen, extremities per departmental protocols. Practices radiation safety at all times for self and the patient. Performs and completes diagnostic procedures accurately. Demonstrates competency and proficiency with CT equipment.

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
