This Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) position, under the supervision of the Supervisor and/or Lead Therapist, is responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as defined by departmental policies and procedures. Responsibilities include general respiratory patient care, emergency care, critical care, patient assessment, blood gas collection and analysis, and ventilator management. This position also requires utilization of advanced practitioner skills to intervene in complex patient care situations.

- Assesses patient/family health problems and resources, takes a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care provided by the nursing team. Provides technical nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursingcertificate. Licensure in the state of California as a Registered Nurse (RN). Proficient in oral and written communication skills. Ability to practice leadership, interpersonal skills, communication skills, teamwork, quality improvement and professionalism.
Current California RN license
Current BCLS, ACLS (AHA), NIHS Stroke
Proficiency in both written and oral English
Basic Dysrhythmia certificate preferred
1 Year acute experience.
Chemo preferred.
