A California registered technician who under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist maintains drug inventories, patient medication profiles, prepares medications, issues medications in the appropriate manner to patient care areas, restocks medications, and assists the pharmacists in all other areas of drug distribution as needed and allowed by State Law. 4. Open Heart Training required.
5. Validated Open Heart competency.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Staff Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families in compliance with the standards for care at AHMC Seton Medical Center and California Nurse Practice Act.
Assesses patient/family health problems and resources, takes a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care provided by the nursing team. Provides technical nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations.
This position requires providing service to a one or more age populations including an ill young adolescent through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. The Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician maintain equipment and supplies in a state of sterility to be used in special procedures, the Operating Room, and Labor & Delivery. Maintains medical and surgical asepsis and principles of Standard Precautions at all times. SPD Tech also maintains equipment inventory and disinfection for patient care equipment used in the hospital.
Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), under the supervision of the Supervisor and/or Lead Therapist shall deliver all types of respiratory modalities to patients as established by the department’s standard operating procedures. The RCP must have the knowledge and skills needed to carry out these procedures. His/Her knowledge must include pharmacology as it pertains to Respiratory Therapy Drugs, Cardiopulmonary Anatomy, Physiology, Acid-Base Analysis, Electrocardiography, Bronchoscopy, Holter Monitoring, C-Section stand-by, Neonatal Intubation, Pulmonary Function and Treadmill Testing. As well, must include indications and absolute contradictions for IPPB, Oxygen Administration, Chest Physiotherapy, Aerosol Administration and Mechanical Ventilator. The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the delivery of safe, quality patient care, including diagnostic services for both inpatients and outpatients with speech and language or swallowing disorders. Evaluations, documentation, and reassessments of patients are required in compliance with all accrediting agencies.
Physical Therapy Assistants shall provide quality patient care to assigned individuals under the direction of the physical therapist. Documentation of patient care activities is required in compliance with The Joint Commission. Assistants will be actively involved in training of aide staff, volunteer staff and physical therapy assistant students. Assistants may be assigned special projects such as quality control and data collection for performance improvement reports or other non-skilled tasks as assist the therapists. Assistants are expected to maintain professional relationships with patients and staff, abiding by the codes of ethical conduct.
The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Administers treatments and physical agents as prescribe by a referred physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. The Therapist assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The Staff Therapist coordinates delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff (RCNA, PTA, PTLA, etc.)

Demonstrates competency and proficiency with x-ray equipment in various locations such as ER/ICU portables and C-Arm in OR.

Must possess a “can do” attitude and be flexible to change. Must demonstrate a good work ethic in regards to time and attendance.
