JOB SUMMARY: This position provides support to the patient care services division in the prevention of hospital acquired pressure ulcers by assisting with the data collection needed for an advanced wound assessment. and by making wound care recommendations for patients as identified by registered nurses assigned to those patients,or in consultation with other skin and wound care team members.
The role of this individual is to support the standardized program for the care. teaching,management and rehabilitation of patients with or at risk for wound development, under the directorship of Quality Director. This program will encompass patients with wounds due to pressure.Incontinence,surgery,trauma.burns. Infections,venous insufficiency, arterial
Insufficiency, neuropathy, or other pathologies.This position will promote and support the standardized
program for tracking the
prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers as directed. Emphasison assessment,prevention. Implementationand education of pressure ulcers and wounds will be incorporated into thiswound care nurse role.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- CertificationinWound Care or extensive work< experience in wound care setting (minimum1year)
- 2 continuous years of acute care experience with adult patients
- Ability to collect and report quality data
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Licenses/Certification’s: Current CA Registered Nurse license;BSN preferred or LVN
- Current BCLS·C card (through AHA)
- Current wound care certification through the WOCNCB (CWOCN,CWON,CWCN) or AAWM (CWS) preferred or within 6 months of hire
JOB SUMMARY: The Pharmacy Technician, under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, participates in the processing of patient medication orders to facilitate the prompt and accurate delivery of medications to patients. The Pharmacy Technician has primary responsibility in drug distribution, maintaining appropriate patient records and charges, purchasing, and inventory control.

JOB SUMMARY: The NICU Director is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. Performs duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan, The Joint Commission and other licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies. The NICU Director shall directly supervise personnel and assure the quality of clinical nursing care of patients in the NICU at all times. The facility shall maintain written documentation of the qualification and responsibilities of the CCS certified community NICU Director.

- A graduate of state accredited school of nursing. BS in Nursing
- Current CA RN license.
- Current NRP and BLS provider
- Certificate of completion from NICU training program
- 3 years of clinical nursing experience with a minimum of 1 year in a regional or community NICU.

The Nurse Director ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care for the Medical/Surgical unit. The Director is responsible 24 hours a day, with full accountability for the staffing and management of patient care, for providing professional nursing services in specified patient care areas, and the acquisition, development and utilization of resources including human, material and fiscal needed to meet those responsibilities. Coordinate scheduling of hospital nursing staff according to patient census and acuity. Handles the clerical and administrative management of the unit in an effective and efficient manner at all times. Acts as a creative leader combining nursing expertise, critical thinking and effective leadership and management skills to ensure that quality care is provided through satisfied and inspired professionals. Collaborates with Nurse Directors, hospital staff and physicians to achieve goals. Maintains accountability to County, State and Federal agencies as well as The Joint Commission for compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards and for providing quality patient outcomes.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Active Registered Nurse licensed in the State of California with no restrictions, no actions and not in probation.
- BS degree in Nursing or other healthcare-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification in specialty area preferred.
- MS degree in Healthcare –related field preferred.
- Clinical expertise in medical/surgical nursing that is normally acquired through five years of experience as staff nurse and/or charge nurse. Five years of progressive nursing administration experience required. Three years recent RN acute care experience.
- High level critical thinking and analytical skills to make management decisions at unit level and make recommendations for consideration on departmental issues.
- Interpersonal and management skills and knowledge of employee relation laws in order to deal with complex management problems and communicate with unit personnel, physicians, administrative personnel, a variety of other hospital personnel and community persons.
- Organizational skills, effective time management and delegation strategies including the ability to rapidly prioritize and adjust work flow according to changing unit needs.
- Well-developed skills in using computers.
- Experience in training and teaching others.
- Ability to be physically active, including seeing, hearing, speaking, sitting, standing, bending, squatting, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting.
