The Paramedic, under the direction of the ER Director and the on duty Registered Nurse, will assist in providing quality care directly and indirectly while adhering to the hospitals philosophy and objectives in order to meet the health care needs of the patients and families and will maintain a clean, stocked and orderly work and patient care environment. The position requires intimate knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to delivery of patient care. The ability to communicate information in a friendly and effective manner is essential. Act as a liaison between the patients family/significant other and the members of the emergency staff by maintaining open communication regarding patient condition, status, progress, etc. Work cohesively with all team members to assure service recovery and conflict management. The Paramedic will provide care within the Paramedic scope of practice, in addition to the essential duties listed below.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, REQUIREMENT
- Current Paramedic/EMT License
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- At least 1 year experience as a paramedic.
- Current BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
A clinically competent certified surgical technologist who works under the supervision of the registered nurse in delivering safe and effective care to the patient during the intraoperative period, interacts with patients and health care team members while mainlining the surgical department standards, scrubs all with appropriate handling of instruments and equipment for the surgeons.
OB/GYN technicians, sometimes called obstetric technicians (OBT), provide assistance during vaginal and C-section deliveries, and other procedures done in L&D. When OB techs aren't helping doctors deliver babies and keeping rooms prepared, they are helping patients and doing basic clerical duties. These clerical duties usually include ordering supplies for delivery and operating rooms, maintaining logs, pulling up patient information on computers, doing inventory and supporting the administrative duties as needed. OB techs help patients get ready for surgery by cleaning and transporting them to operating rooms or helping them out of the hospital when they are discharged.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. High school graduate.
2. Surgical Technology School graduate.
3. Must have a current BCLS
4. National Surgical Technologist Certificate preferred.
5. NRP and Birth & Beyond Breastfeeding.certificates are preferred
The Staff Speech Pathologist organizes and coordinates speech pathology treatment programs. He/she participates in direct patient evaluation and treatment to facilitate and/or restore speech, language, cognitive and swallowing functions and collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology.
- Valid California Speech Pathology License (or eligible).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligible.
- Current BLS, American Heart Association

Experience with Modified Barium Swallow
Evaluation and treatment plan for all speech and swallow patients in the acute, rehab and Outpatient settings. May include Modified Barium Swallow evaluations, cognitve training, swallow training

JOB SUMMARY:The Registered Nurse provides direct care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab Department setting. Communicates with physicians / Nurse Director / Co – workers, as appropriate about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing care for patients the medical surgical services based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. The Charge Nurse is responsible and accountable for the quality of staff and functions during their shift. Directly supervises and communications with all staff along with the Director of the department. Assists the Department Director in the daily operation of the unit, directing, supervising and evaluating personnel, ensuring the proper use of time, equipment and staff. Ensure the efficient functions of the department. Performs direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope of practice. Continually assess care and direct staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care.

- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BCLS, ACLS, NRP (AHA) Fetal Monitoring certificates upon hire and maintain current.

Is capable of performing all the duties of a Medical Technologist II. Consults personnel for technical errors in the department/shift he/she is responsible for.
