EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Licensure in the state of California as a Registered Nurse (RN). Proficient in oral and written communication skills. Ability to practice leadership, interpersonal skills, communication skills, teamwork, quality improvement and professionalism.
Current California RN license BCLS, ACLS, Basic Dysrhythmia certificate
NIHSS required
Proficiency in both written and oral English

Pharmacists are providers of pharmaceutical care and are concerned with the outcomes of their services and not just the provision of these services. The Medical Staff Coordinator is assigned the primary responsibility of medical staff credentialing activities and all related activities. This includes processing new appointments, and reappointments. Ensure thorough and timely verification of Licensed Independent Practitioner’s (LIPs) and Allied Health Professional Staff (AHP) credentialing and privileges according to the medical staff bylaws, credentials manual and policies and procedures. Plans agendas and prepares for meetings, records and transcribes minutes of all departments and various other committees as assigned. . Assist with the FPPE/OPPE process and CME program.
Assist in achieving the department’s goal to maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards, Title 22 regulations and other regulatory agencies as appropriate.

The Social Worker provides social work services to patients, families, and others in all hospital areas specific to assignment as applicable, and in accordance with hospital customer service expectations. Professional services to be provided to meet the psychosocial needs of the patient may include, but are not limited to, psychosocial assessments, brief treatment/counseling, crisis interventions, case consultation, patient education, resource management, assistance with discharge planning, and support groups.
The Social Worker is an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, providing mental health expertise in addition to community outreach, networking, and liaison with community programs as needed.

The position has responsibility for providing administrative expertise in the coordination and delivery of patient care to pre and post op open heart patients in collaboration with the staff caring for the patients and the cardiothoracic surgeon. Additional responsibilities include pre and post-operative teaching, working on the admission process, and patient and family teaching. The Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner is also responsible for collecting STS and CCORP data and presenting this data at department meetings.
