Under the direction of the department manager or designee, performs interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to ensure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients. Participates in technical duties directly involved with the CT Scanner including developing, initiating, training and monitoring procedures for the effective utilization of this unit as well as other portable and stationary X-ray units within the department.
Under general supervision, provides administrative and functional assistance to the Medical Staff Services Department. Responsibilities include providing initial contact and assistance to visitors, physicians and employees that come into the MSS office, first line telephone answering, replying to physician reference letters, preparing Board letters and correspondence opening and appropriate distribution of departmental mail, ordering and maintaining departmental supplies, maintaining files and minutes manuals for ready access of information in accordance with established procedures, and other duties as assigned by the department director.

The Sub-Acute Director is responsible for the supervision of the nursing staff as well as
oversight of the Unit Social Worker, Activities Leader and Program Secretary. This
position administers the nursing program in Hospital in order to maintain standards of
patient care. Recommends establishment or revision of policies and develops
standards of performance. Interprets policies and objectives of Hospital nursing
service to staff and community groups. Promotes good working relations with
community groups. Promotes a good working relationship with community agencies
and with other Hospital departments. Performs personnel management functions, such
as establishing personnel qualification requirements, drafting procedure manuals,
initiating in-service programs and installing record and reporting systems. Appoints
professional and auxiliary nursing staff. Initiates studies to evaluate effectiveness of
nursing services in relation to its objectives and cost. Participates in community health
programs.
- The Discharge Coordinator’s job is to assist/support the Case Manager in ensuring that patient’s transition from the hospital to another level of care is successful. This would include transfer to LTAC, SNF, ECF, Assisted Living, B & C, home or other destinations as outlined in the Discharge Care Plan assessment.

The Staff Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families in compliance with the standards for care at Seton Medical Center, AHMC and Nurse Practice Act. The Medical telemetry nursing involves the use of specialized equipment to monitor patients' vital signs remotely, often for those with cardiac conditions or other medical issues requiring continuous monitoring. The Med Tele Nurse will also cover the needs of a Acute Care- Med Surge patient.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Staff Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families in compliance with the standards for care at AHMC Seton Medical Center, American Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, and American Nurse Practice Act. Staff Nurse 1 is capable of independently performing the full range of clinical nursing services involving patient care. May supervise the work of professional and paraprofessional staff of the assigned unit.
