Under the direction of the CNO, the house supervisor has 24-hour responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department and their effect on patient care in a designated unit. The nurse manager has authority to make decisions on that unit in the areas of patient care, human resource, and financial management.
Manages individualized, goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and Hospital policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse will provide care that includes physical assessment, treatment, reassessment, discharge planning, and health education to the hospitalized patient. The RN is responsible for planning and coordination of care across the continuum. This planning and coordination includes meeting and exceeding compliance with core measures, active participation with all aspects of quality, safety and performance improvement activities, collaboration with all the members of the multidisciplinary team in providing outstanding customer service to patients, family members, physicians and the public. Meets and exceeds the Department of Health Service (DHS), The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory requirements. The Registered Nurse will support the department initiative and provide quality patient care.
The Respiratory Care Practitioner II (“RCP II”) is responsible for providing safe, quality respiratory patient care and teaching to patients and families. Additional responsibilities include collaboration with the health care team, participation in on-going feedback regarding performance improvement, implementation of clinical pathway/plan of care to guide patient care delivery.
The RCP II must demonstrate proficiency in adult general care areas as well critical care areas. As needed, this position may be assigned to perform Pulmonary Function Tests or act as a relief lead. Acting in a relief lead capacity includes organizing, delegating and coordinating the daily activities of the Respiratory staff.
Under general supervision, coordinates organizational and communication activities among staff, physicians, departments, patients and visitors for the assigned unit(s). Responsible for clerical functions, accurate maintenance of patient documentation including order entry and coordination of patient admission, transfer and discharge.
This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. Responsibilities include directing PCA activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients/family, implementation of treatment plan, MD orders, documentation and evaluation. Integration of patient care standards are incorporated into all clinical activities.

The DOU RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration. Perform initial physiological and psychosocial needs assessment on all patients within 30 minutes of admissions and shift assessment.
The Monitor Technician is skilled in reading and interpreting cardiac monitors and arrhythmias. Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for clerical support on the patient care unit. Maintains accurate order entry transmission of physician’s orders to ancillary departments. Works under the direction of a licensed nurse.
As a member of the health care team responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team or unit. Assists patients with activities of daily living and helps to promote a safe, comfortable environment that fosters the physiological and psychosocial well-being of the patient.
The Food Service Worker—Room Service Attendant is responsible for delivery of meal trays to patient rooms and other activities. Assembling meal trays in accordance with diet order, delivering meal trays to patient rooms. Taking meal time orders from patients, delivering floor stock to unit pantries.
