This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. The position will work in collaboration with the medical director of cardiothoracic surgery and hospital staff to provide comprehensive care including medical procedures that may be required for a specialty area, utilizing approved standardized procedures as outlined in the NPA, Section 2834 including Furnishing Drugs and Devices, and CCR Section 1480. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Analyze pathophysiology for various cardiovascular disease processes
Develop cardiovascular diagnoses, formulate a treatment plan and evaluate patient response to treatment
Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
Utilize evidence-based medicine practices using quality, cost-effective care
Educate patients and families regarding the cardiovascular disease process, including primary and secondary cardiac prevention, while remaining cognizant of the patient's emotional, physical and cultural needs
Develop organizational skills to manage a patient caseload
Develop effective communication and presentation skills with the interdisciplinary team
Prescription of pharmacological agents and treatments and non-pharmacological therapies,
Counseling and education to meet patient needs
The position has responsibility for providing expertise in the coordination and delivery of patient care to pre and post op open heart patients in collaboration with the staff caring for the patients and the cardiothoracic surgeon. Additional responsibilities include pre and post operative teaching, working on the admission process, and patient and family teaching. The Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner is also responsible for collecting STS and CCORP data and presenting this data at department meetings.

Responsibilities include providing organizational, communication and assistive skills necessary to facilitate the flow of surgical services activities, ensuring availability and proper maintenance of instrumentation and surgical supplies, adhering to principles of asepsis and policies and procedures, demonstrating knowledge of surgical procedures and providing support to patients, visitors, physicians, staff and ancillary personnel.

Position Summary
The HRIS Specialist provides overall support and maintenance of the HRIS systems including UKG UltiPro Core HR/Payroll, Time & Attendance, and other systems supported by the HRIS team. The HRIS Specialist provides production support, including researching and resolving HRMS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. The individual is expected to support the Payroll department and be responsible for the processing of payroll for the corporate employees. The HRIS Specialist generates ad hoc reports/queries including advanced reportwriting, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports. The HRIS Specialist serves as the primary contact for customer support to Human Resources, Payroll and its employees at the various hospitals and to assigned functional areas. This position will collaborate with the HRIS team as well as other functional areas to provide solutions as well as new system implementations, patches, system upgrades, and other system changes to meet business needs. This position conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains new system users as well as on new processes/system functionality. The HRIS Specialist is to assist all duties related with HR Information Technology
The Relief Stationary Engineer is responsible for providing a full range of maintenance and repair and administrative support to Seton Medical Center. Provides excellent customer service.
Under general supervision and guidelines, obtains and verifies financial sponsorship, patient demographics, and clinical information. Utilizes skills and knowledge of department / hospital policies and procedures to register patients, verify insurance benefits, and collect payments. Works in a team environment and must be able to work independently in all areas of registration, including E.R. registration, insurance verification, pre-admission, Out-patient registration, and cashier with minimal supervision.
