The Registered Nurse will provide care that includes timely triage, physical assessment, treatment, reassessment, discharge planning, and health education to the Emergency Department patient. The RN is responsible for planning and coordination of care across the continuum. This planning and coordination includes meeting and exceeding compliance with core measures, contributes to reduction in LOS, active participation with all aspects of quality, safety and performance improvement activities, collaboration with all the members of the multidisciplinary team in providing outstanding customer service to patients, daily members, physicians and the public. Meets and exceeds the Department of Health Service (DHS), The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory requirements. The ED Registered Nurse will support the ED initiative and provide quality patient care.

He/She coordinates staffing, assists with payroll, employee evaluations and discipline. One year supervisory experience. Current CA RN license. Specialty certificate preferred (CEN). Current BCLS, ACLS and PALS. Proficiency in both written and oral English. Graduate of approved nursing program. BSN preferred.

The Lead House Supervisor position has responsibility for providing administrative expertise and leadership in the identification and resolution of patient and unit related problems, using all relevant resources to affect resolutions. The Lead House Supervisor has the delegated responsibility to represent Administration on site and will communicate directly with the Administrator On-Call as needed for definitive resolution procedures. This position is responsible for the coordination of nursing units’ staffing in collaboration with the individual unit clinical coordinators, ACLS transports (to/from ED and to/from tests), and facilitate discharges. Additional responsibilities include oversight of all House Supervisors, assisting in case management, assuring core measure compliance, participation in patient satisfaction, monitoring and compliance assurances pertaining to safety, wage/hour, employment discrimination, accreditation, licensure, certification, reimbursement or other necessary regulatory approvals within the scope of the specific assigned position for both nursing staff employees and contracted nursing staff members. This position is also responsible for assisting in the selection, development and on going evaluation of staffing office personnel in their work setting.
